聖書によると、教会は、イエス・キリストの花嫁です。
ちょうど花嫁が、愛する花婿が迎えに来てくれるのを待つのと同じように、今イエス・キリストを救い主である私たちは、イエス・キリストが再び戻って来るのを待ち焦がれるのです。
その時、天の国では、喜びの祝宴が開かれます。
花婿と花嫁が一緒になることを祝う、ウェディングのセレモニーにおいて、イエス・キリストを救い主と信じる私たちの喜びは、最上のものとして完成されます。
そしてその喜びは決して妨げられることも、終わることもありません。
そのための第一段階として、イエス・キリストは、ある日、空中に戻って来ます。
その時、その瞬間に、イエス・キリストを救い主と信じる世界中の人たちは、全員イエス・キリストのもとへ引き揚げられます。
